Jessica
was born and raised in Waldwick, NJ. She studied ballet
at the Irine Fokine Ballet School in Ridgewood for 11 years
before she joined Ballet West in Salt Lake City, Utah. Starting
her professional ballet career with them at 17, she danced
in "The Nutcracker" and "Sleeping Beauty"
productions which toured to Lincoln Center, in Washington,
DC, among other cities on the East Coast. In 1990, Jessica
joined the Zurich Opernhaus Ballet company in Switzerland.
There, she danced in classical as well as neo-classical
ballets from Uwe Scholz. While in Switzerland, Jessica decided
to pursue a teaching career, which led her to teach ballet
to 4-16 year olds in a school outside of Zurich. Using both
her English and Swiss-German language skills, she found
she could reach a large number of students and soon opened
her own ballet school in the area. She also found time to
direct and choreograph the "Swiss Musical Night"
for two of its five seasons. This show toured Switzerland
as a Broadway musical revue for five weeks each year. Her
last production in Switzerland was directing the opera,
"La Nozze de Figaro" (The Marriage of Figaro),
for a non-profit organization in Luzern. After 17 years
abroad, Jessica decided to return to New Jersey with her
husband and daughter this January.
